Combo's N.Y. Pizzeria was established in 1980. It all started when Mr. Combo found an absence of a good family oriented local Italian/Greek Restaurant. His goal was to achieve a hospitable environment with an authentic cuisine.

After over 25 Years, the business grew to become one of Hollywood's most innovative family-owned Restaurants. We have come a long way and have been working hard to meet our customers' demands by serving Hollywood with the finest ingredients with an authentic Italian/Greek twist. New York Style pizza originated in New York City in the early 1900's and may be the American Style Pizza which most resembles that of Naples, Italy. It can be traced back to the 17th century when Spanish soldiers were occupying the area around Naples. One of their favorite snacks was a soft, crispy dough with toppings that the Neapolitans called sfiziosa.

Like local New Yorkers who fold their slices in half and eat while walking, these Spanish soldiers folded the flat bread into a little book and ate it with their hands. One of the main characteristics of New York Style Pizza is its traditionally hand-tossed and light on sauce. For the New York Style, Fresh Mozzarella isn't an option...it's the rule!!!
